Even in these early days of his English Premier League career, skyscraping centre forward Paul Onuachu continues to walk tall.

Having attracted impressive ratings of 7.1 against Brentford and 6.7 against Wolverhampton in his penultimate Premier League matches, the in-and-out Nigeria international followed it up with another yeoman's display against Chelsea today in their most unexpected but yet fabulous 1:0 victory.

Citing Onuachu’s exemplary first touch and eloquence in link-up play, Mark Wyatt of Hampshire Live News wrote:"

Paul Onuachu - Had a header narrowly wide from a James Ward-Prowse cross on ten minutes. Brilliant first touch and linked play with his teammates very well. 7/10."

The former Genk assassin, who is yet to win over some Super Eagles supporters, achieved 93% pass accuracy and won 4 out of 7 aerial battles today which were instrumental in Southampton's shock victory.

This win keeps Southampton's hopes of retaining their Premier League status alive with Onuachu at the heart of their charge.

I am really pleased for Onuachu and I continue to wish him every success with his career in the English Premier League.
