A hit and miss set of performances from some Super Eagles eligible players this weekend. Afro Footy brings a brief highlight of these below:
Peter Etebo: finally on the winning side with Stoke; long my that continue.
Moses Simon: good goal in France, better for his confidence.
Jamilu Collins : bad penalty miss in Germany; set back from last week’s wonder long range pile-driver of a goal!
Henry Onyekuru: why did hell did he leave Galastasaray? He is wasting in France as he was not listed in Monaco's 3:1 loss .
Kelechi Iheanacho: continues to rot away at Leicester without making the match day squad against Liverpool yesterday.
Josh Maja: yet to pull down trees this season. His Super Eagles place is in Jeopardy if he continues to warm the bench as he did this weekend.
Samuel Kalu: hopefully he is okay health wise. The winger did not make the match day squad in France.
Francis Uzoho: helped his side AC Omonia to a 2:1 win against Pafos in Cyprus yesterday.
Taiwo Awoniyi: it was never going to be easy for him in Mainz. Another benchwarming display.
Samuel Chukwueze: some fans who watched the match slammed his performance as wretched. Villareal lost 2:1 to Osasuna.
Ndidi: his Leicester side were minutes away from recording a famous draw in Anfield but lost 2:1. Ndidi played well.
Ramon Azeez: another performance against a world class team to add further feathers to his profile cap.
Balogun: finally, he made the Brighton bench as they recorded a shock victory in London. Balogun predictably tasted no action.
Junior Ajayi: performed admirably in Al Ahly's 5:1 demolition of Aswan in Egypt with a goal in 7 minutes.
Semi Ajayi: ever present and solid for Wes Brom who pummelled Cardiff 4:2. He scored last week.
