Iwobi, Simon and Osimhen doing wonders

A number of Super Eagles players stormed into September in emphatic fashion having started the season with all steam ahead indicating that they are there to mix it among the big boys in top leagues,

Afrofooty sheds the spotlight on 3 of these players who have taken the season by storm:

Alex Iwobi: Having started the first game for Everton from the bench, the former Arsenal man still made enough impression in the 21 minutes he played to be voted Everton Man of the Match by some Everton fans.

The 23 year old will go on to score 2 spectacular headers in 2 matches to cap of the month by emerging Everton 3rd best player of the month.

Moses Simon: The dashing Super Eagles winger has taken to life in the French league like fish to water. Having developed the defensive side of his game in Spain, the former youth international is now playing in his favourite forward position with 1 goal, 1 assist and several purposeful runs to underscore his quality as a high calibre winger.

Simon will end the month as a nominee for Nantes player of the month.

Victor Osihmen: Will the real Victor Osimhen please stand up? The one who is a nuisance to defenders; the one who is ruthless in front of goal; the one who can make something out of nothing!

The heir-apparent to Ighalo has score a crazy 4 goals in 4 games for Lille this season to end the month at the club's player of the month.

Super Eagles fans are in dreamland with more Nigerian players featuring for clubs in top leagues all over Europe. And from the way many of them have started, it will surely be a season to remember.
