Super Falcons head coach Thomas Dennerby is now confident that his ladies are fully prepared to face any team at the World Cup in France next month.
The reigning African champions have been drawn against France, South Korea, and Norway in the global showpiece.
Speaking to the media, the Swede said: “The team now has the confidence to play against any team, whichever continent they come from; that is the benefit of the several training camps and friendly tournaments we have had this year. I definitely don’t think that it’s some kind of mental block when we lost to Canada in Spain."
Saying that his ladies have now learnt crucial lessons, he added: "We know the reason why we lost the game and the biggest lessons are not to do tactics that the team have not practices in training, and also to stop playing only when the referee’s whistle goes for the end of the game."
Super Falcons home-based players plus a handful of foreign based professionals are currently preparing for the wafu cup to take place in Ivory Coast this month.
