Former America youth international Toni Payne, who is switching her allegiance to Nigeria, was on from start to finish this weekend for her club Sevilla as they slumped to a 2:1 defeat to Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish women league.
Early second half goals from Gonzalez and Zurbano had given Athletic ladies a 2 goals lead before a late strike from Garcia gave Sevilla their solitary goal in this encounter.
Toni Payne has now gone a minimum of two games for her club without finding the back of the net. She has however been a prolific goal scorer her club career.
If selected for the Super Falcons squad, her goal scoring expertise and experience will be expected to complement that of Ordega, Oshoola, Oparanozie and Ajibade at the World Cup in France.
