Super Eagles Striker Olanrewaju Kayode continues to impress in Ukraine as he netted the only and winning goal for his club Shakhtar Donetsk against Mariupol FC in a league fixture last night.
Running into space in the 18 yard box, Kayode gestured to his colleague Dos Santos where he wanted the pass played, received the pass and unleashed a fearsome shot into the back of the net despite the best efforts of the goalkeeper to narrow the space and put him off - 1:0 the match finished.
The goal came in the 25th minute and It was the 24-year-old’s second goal in four league games and third goal in five games in all competitions for the Miners who cemented their place at the top of the league with three games remaining before the end of the campaign.
Should Manchester City decide to extend Kayode's stay in Ukraine, he will now play Champions Leagues football next season.
