Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar has reportedly told Brazilian TV he still needs around a month to recover from a foot operation.
Speaking on TV Globo, the Olympic Gold medallist was quoted as saying: "I need about a month, but it is healing well. Everything is happening normally.”
Recall, Neymar, has not played football since breaking a metatarsal bone in his foot on February 25 2018.
If his recovery continues, the 26 year old should therefore be fit in time to take his place in Brazil’s squad for the World Cup finals in Russia; their first group match is against Switzerland on June 17.
It remains to be seen whether he would be at his best at the global fiesta if indeed he does become fit enough to feature for his country.
