After helping the Super Falcons reach the knockout phase of the current WAFU Women's Cup, Striker Rasheedat Ajibade was named the woman of the match over the weekend after silencing Senegal in a superlative effort that signals more of what to come.
She received the accolade after netting a hat-trick in the match which handed a 3-0 win against Senegal in Abidjan.
Ajibade found the back of the net in 19 minutes to send a signal that this would be hers and Nigeria's day.
The sharp-shooter then lived up to earlier promises by giving the Falcons a 2 goal lead in 30 minutes.
It was all over in just 34 minutes when Rasheedat unleashed an effort to make it 3:0 to Nigeria and cap an all round excellent performance with a much deserved hat-trick.
Nigeria will play their last fixture against Togo on Monday which now is a mere formality.
