Nigeria will not participate in 3 World Cup tournaments this year as the U-17 women’s team "the Flamingoes" crashed out of this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after playing 1-1 away draw in the second-leg playoff round against Cameroon on Sunday.
The Super Eagles will be going to the World Cup in June (Russia) while the Under-20 Nigerian women will be going to their age grade World Cup in August (France) but Nigeria's flag will be missing in November's U-17 Women's World Cup in November (Uruguay).
The Flamingoes crashed out on away goals after aggregate score ended 3-3.
In the first-leg played in Benin, Cameroon forced the Flamingoes to a 2-2 draw.
Cameroon led via Alice Kameni's 16th minute goal before Precious Vincent drew Flamingoes level on 82 minutes which was too little too late; 1:1 it ended.
