One senior capped Super Eagle and Nigerian Olympic bronze medallist Imoh Ezekiel is hoping to get his career back on track in Spain after a rather disappointing spell at Koyanspor in Turkey.
The winger, who is blessed with blistering pace and deft touches, signed for Spanish club Las Palmas last week and will be hoping to have the platform to showcase his immense skills and perhaps, somehow, find his name in Nigeria's world cup squad - this seems highly unlikely at this time as the likes of V. Moses, M. Simon, Iwobi, Musa, Onyekuru (injured) I Success (not fully fit) and Nwakaeme all appear to be ahead of him in the eyes of the national team coach.
Speaking to the Spanish media during his unveiling over the weekend, Imoh said: "I am ready to play, but now it all depends on the coach. I am very happy to have signed at UD Las Palmas, it is a great opportunity for me to play in the best league in the world and against the best players.
I will do everything possible to have a good season with UD Las Palmas.”
Commenting on his time in Turkey, the speed merchant said: "It was difficult for me to adapt to Turkish football; my family was not happy and that is why we decided to look for another club.”
Imoh joins Super Eagles regular Etebo at the same club.
