This round-up compilation highlights 6 Nigerian footballers who made various online publication headlines for all the right reasons thus far this week.

1)Henry Onyekuru: Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru has been named the Most Promising Player of the Year at the 2017 Soulier d’Or awards in Belgium.

Onyekuru who is currently recuperating from a knee injury he sustained in December won the award ahead of Mechelen’s Hassan Bandé and Landry Dimata.

2)Aaron Samuel: Super Eagles team member Aaron Samuel scored a hat-trick for CSKA Moscow who defeated Spanish fourth division side Torrevieja 7-0 in a friendly on Wednesday.

The sharp shooter gave his side the lead in the 13th minute.

Aaron then doubled the lead two minutes after the restart and completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute.

3)Batholomew Ogbeche: Elapsed Nigeria international striker Bartholomew Ogbeche continues to be in the form of his life the season in front of goal for Dutch top division side Willem II.

The 33 year old striker took his season tally to nine goals in 12 games by scoring the opener for his team in their 3-0 win over VVV Venlo in a tie decided at the Koning Willem II Stadion ( Tilburg).

4)Ahmed Musa: Super Eagles hitman Ahmed Musa continued to excite on his return to CSKA as he crashed the net with two goals in their 3-0 win against Spanish side Elche 3-0 in a friendly game on Tuesday.

He has now scored in back-to-back friendly games for CSKA since joining them on loan from Leicester City.

5)Imoh Ezekiel: Super Eagles hopeful Imoh Ezekiel arrived in Spain this week to complete his switch to LaLiga side Las Palmas as a free agent after terminating his contract with Turkish side Konyaspor last month - according to sources.

Also reported was that Ezekiel agreed an 18 months deal with the struggling LaLiga side, where Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo and former striker Emmanuel Emenike currently play.

6) Sadiq Umar: Erstwhile U23 international Sadiq Umar had a debut to remember for Dutch side NAC Breda scoring and claiming an assist in their 6-1 thrashing of Heracles in the Dutch Eredivisie.

The Nigerian lanky forward who joined the team last week from Torino in Italy, where he was on loan during the first stanza of the 2017 / 2018 league opened his goal account for his new side in the 83rd minute following his introduced in the 80th minute.
